Raindrops, rubber boots and umbrellas are a sure sign of spring around here. And although Mother Nature has been a bit confused these last few weeks, we’re still in the spring mood with our wardrobe and reading choices.
Miss A has a fun green frog rain jacket that happens to be her favorite regardless of the season. So when we spotted this board book at our local @marshalls we knew it was coming home with us. 🐸
Aside from the boy on the cover in his cute rain gear, this book actually takes on a really interesting perspective; following two people through their rainy day. An old man wakes up and grumbles at the sight of the rain, and just across the street a little boy wakes up and welcomes it. It’s a wonderfully sweet way to contrast both feelings and chat about how our mood can sometimes impact others. It was also a nice reminder for me personally; to try and start each day on a positive note, no matter what the weather is like outside.
