My youngest little miss and I have been busy this week traveling from Michigan to Colorado and back, and we are completely exhausted today. It’s nice to be back home with the rest of the family though, and pass on all of the special stories my grandmother shared with us about her childhood, adulthood and raising 8 children. The simple joys of life and being thankful for what you have were lessons behind many of her stories.
When we got home I immediately dug this book out of our library and read it to my girls during breakfast. I hope we are able to slow down this spring and spend more time filling our pockets with seashells and our hearts with memories.
I Wish You More by Amy Krouse Rosenthal, illustrated by Tom Lichtenheld.
