This lovely little book was originally purchased as a baby shower gift, however we loved it so much we ordered a second copy to keep at our house! It includes a happy little CD as well, if you’re interested in learning the songs within the book.
I’ve always been drawn to the classic Margaret Wise Brown stories, maybe because I remember them vividly as a child. This collection of lullabies is quite special though; as the song lyrics on each page were previously unpublished—written by Brown in 1952, the last year of her life. They were discovered over 20 years ago in her sister’s attic, and have now been brought back to life by Sterling Publishing. This book is a true tribute to Margaret Wise Brown and the impact she had had on the world.
We really enjoyed each artists’ visual interpretation of the songs and how each page is so different! Scroll down to see a few of our favorites.
