Picture Day Perfection

Happy #BookfaceFriday friends! My littles and I ventured to the library yesterday afternoon and raided the children’s book corner. I let them choose 7 titles and this one was voted the favorite of all.

From the author of “The Pout-Pout Fish” comes a playful story that appears to be the start of a really bad day… think Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. It turns out that these unfortunate acts were just what the boy was hoping for on picture day. It’s a cute story with a twist ending that made all of us smile while reading last night.

Did you know? The charming illustrations in this book are by Dan Santat; the same literary genius who wrote and illustrated The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend and After the Fall (How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again)?

Picture Day Perfection, written by Deborah Diesen, illustrated by Dan Santat.
